Photoshop for everyone
In this tutorial, I’m going to teach you how to open and edit images in Photoshop Elements. This is the most user-friendly version of Photoshop with the basic needed features for almost everyone.
In case you are wondering whether or not you should learn Photoshop, I have taught Photoshop for beginners before and concluded that you should learn the basics of Photoshop Elements if you want to learn Photoshop, but not the other way around.
Step 1: Selecting the First Image
The first thing you need to do when starting with Photoshop Elements is to select an image to edit. There are three ways of doing that:
• Open the folder containing your images from the left panel.
• Select a photo from the Library by double-clicking or pressing Enter (Return). You can also open the Library by selecting the button at the bottom-right corner of your window.
• Drag an image from the desktop onto the picture frame in the bottom-right corner of your window.
I prefer the first approach, because I often use the Library for uploading or browsing my images.
There are about 8.4 million images in the Library of Elements, and it’s much easier to find something you want to edit if you are looking for a specific image.
Open an image
Open the folder containing your images
Open the library
Once you have chosen an image to edit, you have to open it by double-clicking it. You can also click the File menu and select Open.
You see a folder/image list in the left panel. It is only visible if the images are in folders. If you want to open images from the Library, you first need to click on the Library button at the bottom-right corner.
You can edit images from the folders or the Library. You can also open images in the library and edit them from the same panel.
The Library contains a variety of high-quality images. There are many of them and the library also contains some useful and relevant additional material, such as information about the photos or the pictures they contain.
You can navigate from one image to another by simply double-clicking on the image you want to open. The folder/image list is the same when you select an image from the Library.
If you want to open a number of images at once, you can use

Android PreferenceList not setting value on click
I’m trying to add some preferences to an application, and when I click on the item from the dialog the value it is set to is not being stored and the item is not changing color, any ideas what could be causing this?
public class HomeMenuPreferenceFragment extends PreferenceFragment
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState)
public void onResume()
public void onStop()
public boolean onOptionsItemSelected(MenuItem item)
if (item.getItemId() == R.id.settings_item)
private void showDialog(final int buttonId)
What’s New In?
The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned an ad by British carmaker Jaguar that touted the fact that the Jaguar I-PACE electric vehicle (EV) has a range of up to 610 miles on a single charge. The ASA said the claim, which was based on a single tank of fuel, was misleading because a Toyota Prius took around 870 miles to recharge on the same network – and two tanks would be needed to charge the Jaguar I-PACE to 100 percent. The ASA also criticised the ad for its “largely affirmative use of exclamation marks” and for not disclosing that the ad was paid for by Jaguar itself.
The ASA said Jaguar had failed to demonstrate that a single tank of fuel would be enough to charge the I-PACE, or that customers could expect it to be recharged with one tank in a single journey. The ASA also criticised the ad for being “misleading” for including the claim that there were “up to eight times” the charge rates available on networks that Jaguar advertised as if they were better and cheaper than the other networks. “We acknowledged Jaguar had also previously made similar claims but those claims did not contain the claim that the advertised range could be reached in one tank of fuel,” the ASA said. “We considered that the previous claims had been substantiated by a range of real and empirical evidence in the form of research and development (R&D) tests and endurance trials.” However, the ASA found that Jaguar’s claims did not “fairly and responsibly” represent, nor were they “sought to be verified by third parties.”
The I-PACE electric car is due to go on sale in the UK later this year.Posts
My network’s most recent outage? My employer’s data plan’s most recent outage? Hard to say. Could be. Probably isn’t. Or maybe it is?
I don’t know.
At the end of the day, yes, I can tell you that I am still in the dark about the cause of the issues on both networks. I can tell you that the only access we are seeing to the Apple Developer Forums at Apple has been blocked (and I have no idea why), and the same is true for the Apple Developer Connect Forums.
I can tell you that I went to work on Tuesday because, well, I had to. We have projects that need to be worked on and it’s not like
